Spa Swag for Warriors is dedicated to providing high quality bath and body products to deployed female service members overseas in order to increase the morale, well being, and retention of women in the military, and to reduce the stresses of hardship tours

Hiba Alyawer, president

Hiba has extensive experience with developing and executing communication strategies and plans, in particular leading change communications and managing stakeholder relationships. She has years of experience in developing and creating solutions for visual communication strategies and execution, including designing and producing marketing and outreach materials. She holds an AA in Arts, and an AA in Science, Graphic Design Technology from Miami Dade Community College, a B.S. in Advertising from Florida International University,  a M.A. in Mass Communication Research and Theory from the University of South Florida, and a Ph.D in Business Administration- Management/Advanced Certificate in Marketing from Argosy University. Corinne Price, secretary & Treasurer

Corinne is a Project Manager with ICF International and serves as Chair of SIGGRAPH Student Services for ACM SIGGRAPH. Previously with KPMG LLP and Accenture LLC, she primarily focuses on technical cost estimating, business case analysis development, and portfolio management for IT projects. Her responsibilities include providing business operations support through financial analysis, cost estimating, metrics and reporting, risk analysis, quantitative analysis, and project management for clients in Northern Virginia. She is certified as a Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) with the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association, a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute, and has obtained her ITIL Foundations certificate. She earned a B.S. in Biological Engineering with a Biomedical Engineering minor and a Masters of Engineering in Biological Engineering from Cornell University. Email her at:

Lacey Chong, founder

Lacey is an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and specializes in business process improvement. She has over 12 years of experience working in the private sector and in the public sector at the White House, Department of Defense, and the U.S. Department of State. When she is not working or on travel, you can find her on her yoga mat, running races, or out on the town with friends. Lacey holds a B.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Puget Sound, a M.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University, and a graduate certificate in Change Management from the Georgetown University Executive M.B.A. program. Rick "Ozzie" Nelson, Executive Advisor

Ozzie is Vice President for Defense Programs at Cross Match Technologies, a former director of the CSIS Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Program, and currently a nonresident senior associate at CSIS. He is a former Navy helicopter pilot with over 20 years of operational and intelligence experience, including assignments at the NSC and the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). He joined CSIS in September 2009, after retiring from the U.S. Navy, where he served in a variety of senior policy and operational positions. His last military assignment was with the Joint Special Operations Command. Prior to his assignment at NCTC, he served as associate director for maritime security in the Office of Combating Terrorism on the NSC staff at the White House, where he led the development of the National Strategy for Maritime Security. He is an adjunct lecturer at Georgetown University, where he teaches courses on homeland security and CT. Ozzie holds a B.A. in Political Science from the George Washington University, a M.A. in National Security Studies from Georgetown University, and is a graduate of the Naval War College.  Email him at:

Drew Hayes

Drew is a Senior Systems Engineer with A3 Advisory Services, and delivers technical services and solutions for clients in Northern Virginia. Previously with Inductive Minds and The MITRE Corporation, he has built and managed multiple information systems, supported software and system development efforts, and supported the integration of multiple COTS, GOTS and open source applications into critical information systems. Heather is an entrepreneurial, results-driven professional who applies strategic communications skills to knowledge sharing and learning objectives, along with evaluation approaches to measure what works in international and organizational development. She moved to Washington, DC in 2007 to pursue work advancing social causes, particularly those that influence U.S. efforts in foreign countries. Kari manages data, assessment, and math curriculum for a Massachusetts-based network of charter schools. An alumna of Teach For America, Kari is passionate about improving educational outcomes for students and has worked in public and charter schools across the nation. As a summer fellow with New Sector Alliance, Kari strengthened her understanding of non-profit management as an external consultant to a Boston non-profit organization.
